As an employee of the State of Florida, you can participate in amazing benefit programs. Please read further to learn about programs that will be available to you.

Insurance Benefits: The State of Florida offers a variety of health benefits for State of Florida employees.  These include health, life, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, flexible spending and a health savings account.

Retirement Plans: The State Attorney’s office participates in the Florida Retirement System (FRS).  The employer contributes the majority of the FRS retirement plan savings for full time employees.  Additionally, employees contribute 3% of their pretax pay towards their retirement plan.  Employees have a choice of two FRS retirement plans, the FRS Investment Plan with a one (1) year vesting period and the FRS Pension Plan with an eight (8) year vesting period.

Deferred Compensation: Deferred Compensation programs are available to employees as an additional vehicle for retirement planning.

Tuition Waiver Program: As a State employee, you are eligible to apply for a tuition waiver at many publicly funded universities and colleges. Employees may apply to take up to six credit hours tuition free per semester on a space available basis. Waivers cover undergraduate or graduate courses and need not be work-related.

Employee Assistance Program: This is a confidential referral and evaluation service that helps our employees with personal, family and health related issues.
